Gareth Edds

Position        Defender / Midfielder
DOB             3rd Feb 1981
Born            Australia
Height         183cm

Gareth began his career as a trainee at Notts Forest back in 1998.  He joined the Dons in 2004 and was a regular first team player right from the start, making 37 appearances and scoring 5 goals in his first season.  Edds became the Hockey Stadium's first hero, when he saved the Dons from relegation on the last day of the season with 2 terrific goals to beat Tranmere and send down Torquay instead.

Edds has continued to score the goals when they are really needed and has been consistent throughout his time at the Dons.  During the 2005-2006 season, he made 32 league appearances scoring 3 times.  This was followed by 28 appearances and 2 goals during the 2006-2007 season, despite the new manager Allen indicating early on that he was surplus to requirements.  Edds continued to train hard and made some good performances as substitute, leading Allen to have to eat his wods and reinstate Edds into the first team proper.

2006-2007

28 League Appearances (2 goals)
2 FA Cup Appearances (0 goals)
