Izale joined the Dons from Derby County at the beginning of the 2004-2005 season.  He immediately made an impact during his first season at the National Hockey Stadium, scoring 16 goals from 39 league appearances.  Izale's contribution that season was key to the team narrowly avoiding relegation to League 2.  During the 2005-2006 season, he improved on his scoring record with 17 goals from 33 games as well as 1 goal from 4 FA Cup matches.  Despite the MK Dons being relegated and despite rumours that Izale did not want to play League 2 football, he secured his best season for the Dons during the 2006-2007 season with 21 league goals from 35 appearances
